Benefits, Properties and Uses

This sausage is characterized by being previously cured, something that makes the contribution of proteins, minerals and important vitamins very high for the organism.

It contains a high level of protein that is perfect for providing large part of a person’s daily protein requirements.

Apart from that, it has been proved that a sausage contains the same amount of cholesterol quite similar to that of a hake. That was confirmed after a series of important studies and research were carried out by several scientists.

This product fits perfectly into a healthy daily diet because it has a high content of minerals, the most important being zinc. Similarly, it has high vitamin values, especially the B1, B3 and B12 vitamins.

The sausage also has 30% total fat, most of which is unsaturated fat that is harmful to the body. But it is also made up of fatty acids which together with the unsaturated fat provide the necessary lipids required by the body and enable to keep the cholesterol levels in the blood under control.

Our product is made up entirely of Iberian pigs from the region of Extremadura. These pigs have a very limited cholesterol content. When the pig is processed and subsequently cured, cholesterol values reach 72 mg of cholesterol every 100 gr of sausage.

The product also contains salt but of the highest quality, which has been treated to eliminate as many harmful chemicals to health as possible. In addition, the amount used is just enough to prevent microbial agents from developing in and decomposing the sausage. It also prevents the uncontrolled growth of pathogenic microorganisms that cause the product deteriorates.

How is Iberian sweet sausage prepared?

This type of sausage is obtained from Iberian pigs in Extremadura, Spain, and has been seasoned with sweet peppers from La Vera. As well, garlic, spices and salt have been added to them to reinforce the succulent flavour. The sausage is made with an artificial pig casing.

The exquisite aromatic taste is completely natural and this is due to the fact that it is a fresh product. To preserve its taste it was vacuum-packed which makes the product last longer.

The most famous recipes with Iberian sweet sausage

This product can be eaten raw or fried, this will depend on the particular taste and the recipe being prepared. However, it is ideally eaten fried or as an extra ingredient to improve the taste and the seasoning of the lentils.

Contraindications or cautions

It is recommended that the consumption of this product is moderate by people with problems of dyslipidemia or hyperlipidemia, its excessive intake can alter blood cholesterol levels.

The same recommendation to eat it in moderation applies to those suffering from colon or haemorrhoid disorders since pepper can affect them directly.
